And so it starts. A new phase of Kabir’s life. School. 4th June, 2014 was his first day ever at school. First of many more to come. For him it was a rather good day. He forgot about us the minute he saw the sand-pit at school when we went to drop him. There were no teary goodbyes and hugs. He just got busy.
And then Kalyani was around, the older more experienced one. Who loves school so much that she made her parents take her to school in between vacation just cos she was missing it so much 🙂 Now totally thrilled that Kabir was going to her school too.
Though Sapan and I had decided to take only half a day off till he got done with school, we ended up taking the whole day off. Besides getting odd jobs done around the house(which never ends, specially when you are setting up a new place!), Kabir had a baby’s day out. Just like Sunday but in the middle of the week! A car ride, sitting on joy-rides, a helicopter and a cloud 😛 and eating out in a restaurant, where he can run around, roll on the sofa. Unlike home where he’s strapped to his chair!
It’s started off on a good note and fingers crossed will be like this for sometime at least. Till the time comes when he wont want to get up and ask for a few more minutes in bed and I’ll be yelling at him to hurry or he’ll miss his school bus! Oh ya…his current biggest low-point about school is that he doesn’t get to go to school in a yellow school bus.
